This birth calculator serves as a useful tool for dog breeders looking to plan and estimate upcoming litters. Users can input the date of mating or schedule future breeding dates to facilitate the calculation.

The application generates two critical dates based on the selected date. The first date represents the estimated day of birth, calculated to day 63, which is the average gestation period for dogs. It is important to note that actual birth may occur within a window of approximately five days before or after this date.

The second date indicates when the puppies will be legally ready to transition to their new homes, set at a minimum of eight weeks post-birth.

This easy-to-use application was developed as part of a school project and aims to assist breeders in effectively managing their breeding schedules.
